My New Baby....Beat & Snatched

Happy new year everyone!!! I'm happy to share with you guys my latest project. For those who know me, know that I am ALWAYS down for collaborating with great people and helping others to succeed with their dreams. I've come up with a way to do just that in a popular platform...BEAUTY VIDEOS!

Beat & Snatched is my new project where I have tapped on some of the best artists and stylists across the US to demonstrate their awesome skills via youtube. Of course I'm starting in my base city of Atlanta, but will soon be expanding to NYC and LA. So if you love beauty tutorials, behind the scenes footage, styling tips stay tuned for the Launch this February 2013!

ADDED BONUS: I've also created some exclusive apparel designs for the beauty/fashion enthusiasts! Limited quantities will be made available soon so stay tuned.

Vintage Beauty: My First Major Beauty Editorial

I'm soooooo super excited to be able to buy a copy of my first major beauty editorial in Runway Magazine (yes the mag was featured in the best-selling novel The Devil Wears Prada).  I've been waiting for a long time to get to make up a beautiful Indian bride and I've finally found her! With the help of the uber-talented photographer Laretta Houston we transformed this young lady (who rarely wears makeup by the way) into a stunning bride-to-be! Check it out and stay tuned for more!

Through the beautiful works of social media, I met the ever so talented and fun photographer Catherine Asanov a few years ago. We kept in contact and always said we would work together. Well we finally made it happen :) Check out some of the photos from a shoot I concepted. Wanted to do some pretty beauty shots for the fall with a hint of luxury in similar styles of Kim Kardashian!

Makeup for Photography

Had a very long and eventful weekend, but no complaints because I'm doing what I love :) I had my first makeup classes this week and they went so well! During my saturday class I thought it would be great to take a before and after photo. What's even better is my lovely friend/photographer Laretta Houston so graciously took a photo for me and edited it. So looking at these photos you can get the beginning to end footage of makeup through the stages of photography! Stay tune for my Makeup for Photography class during Laretta's photography workshop starting in Atlanta and then Dallas!

Also I have to mention a product I love! that I used on my model. I compare it to MAC's Prep + Prime Refined Zone, but it's at your local drug store so cheaper! L'Oreal's Studio Secret Face Primer. I used it on this model and you can see the shine that was eliminated.

Another Day..Another Dollar

So I'm just getting back from my lovely vacation in Chicago and as soon as I get back...duty calls. I was soooo tired and soooo wanting to get in my bed. But as soon as I got to working and doing makeup I got this boost of energy! That's when you know you love what you do! It's also a bonus to have a wonderful team to work with as well :) Here's a little taste of what was done:
