Special Delivery: Sigma Beauty Brushes and Makeup

I was super excited to receive a special package from Sigma Beauty! I've heard many great things about their brushes and have been waiting to try them for some time now. I was overwhelmed by all of the brushes that they gave me to try out and I didn't expect to get the eye shadow palette as well (SWEET!).

Here's my breakdown on the products thus far:

Synthetic Kabuki Kit - These have to be some of the best feeling brushes! I love the feel of them on my skin. They are synthetic as well which means that they are less prone to damage from makeup and solvents. They are also easier to keep clean than natural hair brushes. And of course vegan approved and great for sensitive skin. These brushes are really great for those who use mineral makeup/powders and even some creamy foundation options. Also I want to mention that the brushes have minimal shedding which is great!

Synthetic Precision Kit - these are very similar to the Kabuki brushes, except they are small enough to get more details. Love the feel! I just want to request that they make some even smaller for detail :)

Makeup Professional Premium Brush Kit - I haven't gotten to use all of these yet, but they definitely include all of the essential brushes that a professional makeup artist would need to travel with in a nice case.

"Make Me Classy" Professional Brush Kit - I now have kept this collection for myself and my personal stash :). It includes all of the necessary brushes for an everyday makeup application. Very minimal shedding. I'm also a big fan of the brush canister because its easy to separate the dirty brushes from the clean brushes. This series also comes in other colors like pink and purple (my favorite colors). I used these brushes in my latest makeup tutorial which is pasted below.

"Bare" Eye Shadow Palette - This palette reminds me of the "Naked" Urban Decay palettes. I love the colors and they turned out really nice when I tested them out, though I did use an eyeshadow primer first as I normally do. It has all of the necessary colors to create a very natural look or a dramatic smokey eye look.

Check out my tutorial video where I demonstrated an eye makeup look using the "Bare" palette as well as the "Make Me Classy" brush kit.

What's an EPK to an MUA?

While creating my "Beauty Behind the Beat" videos, I knew I'd need a videographer to help me with the shooting and editing. So I found one who has been more of a blessing and convinced me that I needed an EPK (electronic press kit). While I understand the importance of marketing collateral, I never thought of having one of these as a makeup artist! Thank you Demi of Pure Artistic Studios for putting this together for me! Check out my new EPK :)
